What a great night it will be when I drop my plump derriere into my lazy boy, grab hold of my remote, and turn on this year’s All Star game. It will be a thrill to watch and listen to the announcements of all those deserving players. It will be a bigger thrill to listen as the names are called to realize none of them belong to the new york yankees . I will be so happy to turn the surround sound up and listen to the boo’s given to names like Kevin Youkilis, Manny Ramirez, Dustin Pedroia, and Terry Francona. Won’t it be nice to see ‘The Hallowed Grounds’ without any pinstripes in position. The new york yankees represent everything that is wrong with professional sports these days. Buy a team no matter what the payroll maybe and run roughshod over lesser revenue generating teams. The Stankees let those teams build from within, teach the young players, let those players mature and then steal them away. The Stanks are not the only ones taking this approach but are certainly the masters at it. The Stinkbrenners have every right to fill their pockets with all the money they can take. Won’t it be sweet to have a starting line up with no Stankees! No Derek (a shortstop with the range of a boulder) Jeter, no A- (money means everything to me) Rod, no Bobby (I can hit homers during exhibitions not during games) Ableweee, and thank God, no Jason (good thing they didn’t find out about the juice until after my contract was signed) Salami. Last time I was in the Crab Apple I met
a prostitute that charged by the inch. Of course I
couldn’t afford her but while conversing she said she was
moving back to Chicago because she couldn’t make a decent
living in new york. HATE! It is a terrible word. It is a word associated with deceit, treachery, betrayal, disloyalty. A word that purveys abhorrence, disgust, loathing, and revulsion. . It is a word my mother taught me not to use. A word that best describes my feelings towards the new york yankees and their fans. Remember, can’t pick a box, Vote Red
Sox. (or White Sox for that matter). Vote for anyone just
don’t vote for any Skankees.
